The stated problem was a phone bill of several hundred dollars a month. The actual problem was paying platform rent for features that carrier APIs provide directly. I rebuilt the whole thing on Telnyx: IVR, call hunt groups, hosted voicemail, a bot that catches missed calls and posts them into Microsoft Teams, and out of office control that works from Teams or a browser. No loss of features. The bill is now roughly five dollars a month.
